The dimensions of this venerable cooker are 6-1/4" diameter x 8-/14" high.

Now, guess what? A good customer advised me that she uses this steamer not only for potatoes but for any "long" vegetable...perfect for asparagus!

She also uses it for fingerling potatoes, cooking them not too soft. Splitting them lengthwise, she places them on a baking sheet, seasons and then either bakes or broils to brown for the greatest oven roasted potatoes.

I tried it, it works! I also made them on the stovetop in a skillet with garlic salt and pepper so I could stir and turn to perfection! Terrific! Don
