Southern Pecan Pie

3 eggs
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup molasses
½ Cup melted butter
1 Cup pecan halves, toasted
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 pastry shell

Whisk eggs in your egg whites pan until light, add sugar and beat again.
Add molasses, melted butter, pecans, salt and vanilla.
Mix and pour into 9" pie pan lined with plain pastry.
Bake for ten (10) minutes in a pre-heated 400º F oven.
Lower heat to 350º and bake until custard is set. Cool and serve as required.
