Spider Corn Bread

1-½ Cups white cornmeal
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs, well beaten
2 cups milk
2 Tbsp butter

Sift dry ingredients together. Stir in eggs, milk and butter. Heat a thick, heavy fry pan and butter bottom and sides. Pour in batter. Bake 20 to 25 minutes in medium oven. Remove from pan and slice into wedges. Serve hot with butter on the side.
