California - The Golden State, State flower: Golden Poppy Olive Bread1 pkg. dry yeast Dissolve yeast in potato water, stir in salt, oil, mashed potatoes and egg. Add half the flour, mix well. Stir in olives. Add enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Turn on floured board or your Roul'pat, knead for 1 minute. Place in bowl and let rise in a warm place until it doubles in bulk. Punch down and shape into 2 round loaves. Placed on your greased cookie sheet or Exopat Nonstick Baking Mat, brush with additional oil. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk. Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 350º for 45 minutes or until it is done. Great warm or cold!! |
