Sauerkraut in White Wine - Serves 6 to 8

1 onion, minced
2 Tbsp butter or drippings
1 qt sauerkraut
1 large apple, chopped
1 large potato, grated
1 tsp caraway seed
1 cup stock or water
1 cup dry white wine

Sauté the onion in butter until it is light brown. Add to sauerkraut with apple, potato and caraway seed.

Place in greased casserole and pour over the stock and wine. Bake the dish, covered, in a preheated oven at 350º for 1-½ to 2 hours.
