Cranberry Pie

1 lb cranberries, washed picked and cut into halves
Combine 2 cups sugar, 1 Tbsp cornstarch and ¼ tsp salt and blend well with ½ cup water.

Stir in the cranberries and fill a 0" pie shell with the mixture. Sprinkle the cranberries with the grated rind of half an orange, dot generously with butter and cover with a lattice of pastry.

Bake in a 475º oven for 15 minutes, then lower heat to 350º and bake another 35 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
