Buttermilk Batter Bread

1 cup white cornmeal
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups buttermilk
1 egg, well beaten
1 Tbsp melted butter

Grease a small baking dish with cold butter, pour in the batter made by mixing all the above ingredients, and bake in a pre-heated oven at 425º for 30 to 40 minutes or until nicely browned. Serve hot with butter on the side.
