Union Brewert Meat Balls - Serves 6

½ lb sausage meat
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 tsp salt
¼ cup finely chopped onion
Bacon fat
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 Tbsp flour
1 12 oz. bottle of beer
½ cup tomato puree
Salt & pepper
Crushed dill seeds
1 cup stuffed green olives

Combine the sausage and beef, egg, salt and onions. Roll in little balls and brown in bacon fat. Remove from pan. Remove all but 2 Tbsp fat from the pan; add the crushed garlic, discard when brown. Add flour and cook 1 or 2 minutes then add the beer and tomato puree. Season with salt, pepper and dill seeds, and, when thickened and smooth, add the meat balls and the stuffed green olives. Heat and serve with noodles.
