South Dakota - State flower: American Pasque Cabbage Soup - Serves 6¾ head cabbage Remove outside leaves and core of cabbage; cube it into 1" pieces. Brown the cabbage in the soup pot with the butter, stir in the molasses and cook a few minutes longer. Boil the stock with the allspice and peppercorns and add to the cabbage. Correct seasoning and serve. |
