Creamy Frosting

¼ cup butter or margarine
2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
3 Tbsp evaporated milk (about)
1 tsp vanilla extract

Cream the butter until soft. Blend in half the sugar and add milk. Cream well. Add remaining sugar and vanilla and beat until of a spreading consistency. More sugar or milk may be added for desired thickness.
