Washington - The Evergreen State, State flower: Western Rhododendron Apple and Cranberry Salad - Serves 16 to 182 RED Delicious apples Core and quarter the apples. Peel orange, or not, and cut into quarters; remove seeds. Grind apples, cranberries and orange through food chopper. Add sugar and walnut pieces; mix well. Prepare gelatin according to package directions; chill until partially thickened. Add fruit mixture; mix well. Place in large mold or rectangular pan; chill until firm. Serve on lettuce; garnish with mayonnaise. Serve cold. |
